The year is 1943 and Undercover sees players take on the role of British physicist Dr. John Russell, who is sent into the lion’s den by the MI6 to follow leads on German research into a devastating weapon of mass destruction.

Russell is far from a trained agent, but is accompanied by two MI6 operatives on his dangerous foray into heavily guarded archives and secret research facilities – but can he trust them or are they pursuing their own agenda?

The shocking truth is revealed in Berlin’s Heereswaffenamt: documents confirm that the Nazis are very close to completing the development of a “uranium bomb” – a nuclear device! The new weapons system is already nearing the first test. Russell’s mission takes on a terrifying new dimension: his search for the production facilities leads him right into the hands of a sinister German general, who has his own fanatical plans with the powerful, new weapon… Russell’s mission is only just beginning!

Even though the story of Undercover: Operation Wintersun is fictitious, it is grounded in historic facts, framed both by authentic details and actual events, as well as myths and speculation about the Third Reich. Intricately designed backgrounds, detailed 3D animation and many cinematic cutscenes create a frighteningly real atmosphere.

ANACONDA will release the adventure game Undercover: Operation Wintersun by the end of September. It is being developed by Austrian developer Sproing Interactive Media.

Undercover: Operation Wintersun – Meet Anne Taylor

While Dr. John Russell is the unlikely hero Undercover: Operation Wintersun, the upcoming espionage tale from the adventure game experts at ANACONDA, his dangerous mission won’t see him face the Nazis all alone.

It’s 1943 and players take on the role of the British scientist, who is sent deep into the heart of Nazi Germany by MI6 to follow clues suggesting the Germans are constructing a devastating weapon of mass destruction.

One of his fellow agents is Anne Taylor: as attractive as she is daring, the young woman plays a big part in obtaining the explosive documents that put the British agency on the trail of the secret German weapons program.
The highly talented agent is not one to do things by the book, so you’ll always find her in the most dangerous places.

John isn’t exactly happy that she always seems to lead him into trouble – but then he has a difficult time resisting her charms…

But Russell will have to be careful: can her really trust Anne or is she pursuing her own agenda?

Undercover takes players into the middle of the Second World War. Secretive research by the Nazis into a mysterious weapons project is at the center of its plot. Cleverly, the player is introduced to a horrific what-if
scenario: the whole of humanity is at risk if the Nazi scientists are successful!

Belief & Betrayal: Detailed impressions of historic locations

Gloomy libraries full of forbidden scripture and mysterious monasteries in deep and dark woods are just some of the locations featured in Belief & Betrayal church conspiracy thriller plot. Today ANACONDA released two new screenshots from the adventure game, highlighting the level of detail and faithful reproduction of famous buildings and places in the classic point & click environments. The new shots show the inside of the Cathedral of Chartres and a view of the Piazza San Marco and the surrounding buildings in nighttime Venice.

The famous gothic Cathedral of Our Lady of Chartres in central France was completed in the 13th century and counts among the greatest churches of its time. The grand pavement labyrinth in the central aisle is surrounded by many rumors and outlandish theories concerning its significance and geometric layout.

The Piazza San Marco is Venice’s most well known and important square.
While it dates back to the 9th century, it obtained its current form between 1200 and 1600. Dominated by the Basilica and its solitary bell tower, it stretches all the way to the famous Doge’s Palace. Being at the lowest point in Venice, the Piazza is frequently flooded during storm surges, with water from the Grand Canal surging up into the square.

In Belief & Betrayal, players take over the role of Jonathan Danter, as he is drawn into a church conspiracy that reaches back through the centuries all the way to the day Judas received 30 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. His quest takes him to numerous places, among them New York, London, Oxford, Venice and naturally, Rome.

Belief & Betrayal is being developed by Artematica and will be released worldwide by ANACONDA in the 4th quarter 2006.
