ANACONDA reporting live from the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo, the world’s biggest computer and video game trade show, in Los Angeles: yesterday, scenes from the upcoming hit adventure game Overclocked have been shown to the public for the first time. “The first trade visitors have already shown themselves very impressed by Overclocked and the rest of our lineup”, reports dtp’s PR manager Claas Wolter directly from the E3. Overclocked is being developed by the House of Tales team, makers of the successful adventure game The Moment of Silence. The German team is creating a psychological thriller which uses many technical innovations and a surprising narrative approach to form an eerily real gaming experience. Overclocked is set for release in April 2007. ANACONDA is also presenting first scenes from the upcoming adventure game highlights Undercover – Operation Wintersun and Belief & Betrayal, as well as new scenes from the eagerly awaited comic-adventure hit Tony Tough 2 at E3. Visitors can have a first look at the world of Drakensang as they explore a small village. The already partly playable version gives a very good impression of the look & feel the project is headed for. Drakensang brings back epic party-based RPG gameplay in a breathtakingly detailed world, based on one of the world`s biggest pen & paper franchises. With incredible eye for detail, the world of Aventuria comes alive on the PC in state-of-the-art 3D graphics that bring to life the epic vistas and stunning variety of this one-of-a-kind fantasy world.
ANACONDA Adventure Day was a resounding success
The ANACONDA Adventure Day was a resounding success: starting at 6pm CET, more than 600 posts were contributed by over 250 visitors from around the world. Adventure gaming fans from the USA, Spain, Greece, Poland and many other countries chatted with designer greats like enoît Sokal, Martin Ganteföhr, Marcel Speta and many more. Only Stefano Gualeni had to cancel at short notice. There was a lot on offer for adventure fans: they were the first to gain new, exclusive info about the developers’ upcoming games first-hand. Belief & Betrayal: new impressions from a world of conspiracies
ANACONDA grants further insights into the thrilling world of Belief & Betrayal. The upcoming hit adventure is set in present times, but its story reaches back to the dawn of Christianity. Secret orders, forbidden scripture, ancient secrets ? Belief & Betrayal tackles subjects popular both among adventure games and current fiction. In Belief & Betrayal players assume the role of journalist Jonathan Danter, whose investigation into the ? murder of his uncle sets him on the dangerous trail of a church conspiracy that leads back to the day Judas received a reward for his betrayal of Jesus. The player?s travels will lead him from New York to London, Oxford, Venice and all the way to Rome. The classic point & click adventure is being developed by the Italian Artematica team and will be published by dtp worldwide. It is set for release in the 4th quarter of 2006. Adventure specialist ANACONDA is gathering all the greats of the adventure scene for an online event in late April. The German publisher has announced a unique meet & greet that gives adventure fans from all over the world the chance to interact with the international designer greats gathered under the ANACONDA banner. Adventure-Weeks part 3: ANACONDA, specialist for adventure games sends players on a fantastic journey to Africa in Paradise
The ANACONDA adventure weeks continue with the announcement of another highlight in the adventure specialist?s lineup: the publisher will release Paradise, the new masterwork from Benoît Sokal?s White Bird Productions, at the end of April. Paradise takes players to the fictitious land of Maurania in the heart of Africa, where young Ann Smith, daughter of the country?s aging despot, must face many adventures. Maurania?s neighboring nations pounce on the growing weakness of its king and invade the country. Her father asks Ann for help, even though they have not talked for years. On her way to Maurania, Ann?s plane crashes and she loses her memory. Mysterious events and puzzles wait for the player, as he tries to throw light on Ann Smith?s dark past and recover her lost memories. Adventure specialist ANACONDA will again add a top-notch localization on top of the game?s gorgeous visuals. Paradise, created by Benoît Sokal, the man behind the adventure success Syberia, will be available in stores by the end of April. German publisher dtp has just signed a publishing contract with French company Micro Application about the publishing of Dreamfall in the German speaking countries. The long awaited sequel to the legendary The Longest Journey will be on the shelves in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in Spring 2006. Dreamfall – developed for PC and Xbox – is one of the most desired adventures of 2006 and has been awarded with several high commendations, including “Best Adventure of E3” from Gamespot, GameSpy and IGN. Dreamfall is a game of major importance to dtp’s 2006 line up and its new international adventure brand ANACONDA, established in August 2005 ( www.anaconda-games.com).
